This is probably one of the most requested blog topics I’ve ever gotten. So I’ve decided to give the people what they want, we’ll be presenting an at home ab workout for men. Abs are essentially one of the trickiest and most intricate muscles to build. There are a lot of minor details to focus on to build a strong 6 pack. You can eat healthy, consume all the right amounts of calories and have a low body fat and still have weak underdeveloped abs. Based on my 5 year fitness journey, I realized this hence I decided to bring you guys an at home ab workout for men.

Ab sculpting is where you do specific exercises that sculpt and develop targeted sections of your core. In a recent blog I mentioned to build a 6 pack you are required to ‘target your core in sections’. That was essentially what I meant. It’s easy to have underdeveloped or disproportionate abs if you just focus on doing crunches all day. Your core, on a basic level, is made up of 3 sections; your abs, your obliques and your v-line. You should design your workout plans in such a way that it targets all 3 of these sections. This ensures that you have all round, strong and well developed ab muscles. Luckily in this blog I’ve designed an at home ab workout for men, that precisely targets these 3 sections of your core.

Abs are debatably one of the most admired muscles there is. People often respect a guy who has well developed abs (as long as he’s not a douche of course). Not only is this admired but they are also very attractive too. In fact, according to an article on muscleandfitness.com, a survey showed that abs are the sexiest muscles on a guy. I’m not saying you should follow this at home ab workout for men, simply for females but I’m saying that it definitely helps dating wise. 

Your core is definitely a muscle group you shouldn’t neglect, it’s responsible for many activities. Having a strong core comes with a lot of important benefits as well, an article on healthline.com, reveals that the core is the most important muscle. Having a strong core also comes with a lot of other key benefits like:

  • Better posture
  • Increased athletic ability 
  • Increased balance
  • Increased flexibility 
  • Stronger spine
  • Stronger erections 
  • And many more…

With all that being said, you might have been more than intrigued and motivated to get your abs in check by now. Your core is the building block of all calisthenics movements hence you should pay special attention to it. Focus on developing a strong core at all times, especially if you’re an athlete. Anyways, without further ado, let’s get into the good stuff! Allow me to present an AT HOME AB WORKOUT FOR MEN. 

THIS EXERCISE CONSISTS OF:

6 Exercises 

No rest in between each exercise 

High intensity movements 

5 mins rest between each round

Duration: 5 mins

1. 6 Double Leg Crunches 

Quick tips:

-Squeeze your core

-Relax your hip flexors 

-Keep your back straight 

2. 10 Heel Touches (5 per side)

Quick tips:

-Keep your heels a couple inches away from your butt

-Use your core to reach your heels not your arms

-Keep your back as straight as possible 

3. 10 Elevated Toe Taps

Quick tips:

-Use your core to touch your toes not your arms

-Keep your chin tucked 

-Straighten your legs 

4. 10 Side Plank Crunches (Each side)

Quick tips:

-Squeeze your obliques 

-Keep your back straight 

-Be careful

5. 10 Oblique Crunches (Each side)

Quick tips:

-Use your obliques to meet your knees with your elbows 

-Tighten your core

-Keep your back straight 

-Be careful 

6. 30 Sec Plank

Quick tips:

-Keep your back straight 

-Squeeze your core throughout the exercise 

-Squeeze your glutes

-Don’t cheat! Hang in there

Do this for as many rounds as you can!
